Extended Care
Extended Care classes are available for children who are enrolled in the 3's, 4's or Pre-K classes. Children must be toilet trained.
Extended Care follows the same calendar as Asbury Community Christian Preschool, with the exception that it is open on teacher work days and teacher conference days. Reservations for these days must be made in advance.
After 6:00 PM a late fee is charged at the rate of $1.00 per minute.
Extended Care will be closed on the days that Anne Arundel County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. If public schools open late, Extended Care will open 2 hours late. If public schools close during the day due to inclement weather, pick up your child as soon as possible.
Preschool children who are enrolled in Extended Care during lunch time are responsible for bringing their own lunches. Lunches should be nutritious and not contain candy, gum, or soda. A mid-morning and late afternoon snack is provided by the Preschool.
Preschool children enrolled in Extended Care during hours of 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM are required by Maryland State Regulations to rest on a cot. Parents are responsible for providing bedding for their child's cot and for laundering their child’s bedding on a regular basis.
If you have made a reservation for a "sign-up" day, i.e. chapel days, early dismissal, etc. , you will be charged for that day unless you cancel your reservations 48 hours prior.
Drop-In Care
Drop-in Care is available in the Extended Care program on a space available basis for children who are enrolled in the 3's, 4's or Pre-K classes. Reservations for Drop-in Care must be made 24 hours in advance. The cost of Drop-in Care is $5.50 per hour or any part of an hour. This cost is billed on the monthly statement. Children who are enrolled in Drop-in Care during the hours of 1:00 PM-3:00 PM are responsible for bringing bedding for the required rest time.
