Delayed Openings and Closings
The Preschool
The Preschool will follow Anne Arundel County Public School Closings due to inclement weather. When public schools are closed for the day due to inclement weather, the Preschool will be closed for the day.
When public schools open 1 hour late, the Preschool will open at the regular time.
When public schools open 2 hours late, the Preschool will be closed for the morning sessions. There will be no lunch program. The afternoon sessions will meet on time.
When there is a 2-hour early closing of public schools, the Preschool will be closed for the afternoon sessions.
If public schools close during the day because of inclement weather, parents should pick up their children as soon as possible. Please tune to local radio stations for school closing announcements.
Extended Care
Extended care will follow Anne Arundel County Public School Closings due to inclement weather. When public schools open 1 hour late, Extended Care will open at the regular time.
When public schools have a 2 hour delayed opening, Extended Care will open at 9:00 a.m.
When public schools close early for the afternoon, parents should pick up their children as soon as possible. The Extended Care will remain open until 6:00 or until the last child leaves.
If it is a “sign-up” day, and the preschool is not in session the Extended Care Program will follow Anne Arundel County Public School system:
- Code Red = stay in bed, we are closed
- Code Blue = take two, we open at 9:00 am
